Shadow Lakes Association
Intro: The Team

Team MemberDescription
Lake Association Our Association represented 370 paid-up resident and seasonal members in 2020 on and near the Shadow Lakes and Gull River system between Norland Coboconk who enjoy this area for swimming, boating, fishing or just being by the water.
The Association's focus is to maintain and improve the community through activities such as -
- Placing and maintaining rock and channel markers between Norland and Coboconk to make our lakes and rivers a safe place to boat. Cost is approximately 2000 dollars annually
- Purchasing and posting signs at strategic and access points to our lakes to remind boaters of safe speed limits and boating practices
- Lake and environment stewardship
- Sponsoring the annual Mo Park Memorial Rock Bass and Sunfish Fishing Derby since 1992
- Financially assisting and promoting local organizations and activities
- Writing, printing and distributing the semi-annual June and September newsletters to keep all regular users of our waters informed of items of interest which may directly or indirectly affect us
- Holding an annual general meeting at which members can voice opinions and raise issues
- Providing a website for Shadow Lakes cottagers and residents to stay up-to-date year-round with events and issues that may affect them.
Fees A family membership is 30.00 per year.
