New Signage We have purchased and installed 3 new signs around the lake. We hope these help to remind people of the existing boating regulation "It is illegal to operate at greater than the unposted Standardized Shoreline Speed Limit of 10 km/h (6 mph) within 30 metres (100 feet) of shore in the waters of Ontario. This limit is in effect whether it is posted or not.". The speed limit is in effect to minimize wake impact and protect the environment, shoreline property owners, and the safety of boaters and swimmers. Large wakes are a major cause of shoreline erosion. We also wish to remind fishermen of the toxicity of lead tackle - one jig or lead weight is enough to kill a loon. Please switch to non lead tackle. The signs have been included in our rotating pictures on our website home page.
Spawning Bed Restoration We wish to thank every individual and group that contributed to the successful conclusion of our walleye spawning bed restoration project with the placement of 7 tons of rock on Feb 6 2025.
